Cancellation and refunds are different things. Cancellation means stopping future renewal. A refund returns amounts already charged. This policy covers cancellation only — see the Refund Policy for refund questions.
You may cancel your paid subscription (Basic, Pro, or Diamond) at any time. Cancellation stops future recurring charges. There is no obligation to continue a paid subscription beyond the billing period you have already paid for.
Cancellation must occur before the next renewal date to prevent the next recurring charge. Once a cancellation is processed, no further charges will be attempted.
Unless applicable law, payment-provider rules, or another mandatory requirement provides otherwise:
Pro → user cancels → renewal disabled → Pro remains active through paid-through date → billing period ends → account falls back to Free → journal data is kept.
Cancellation does not delete your stored Trade Journal data merely because paid access ended. Your trades, journal entries, and other records remain stored and accessible according to the Free plan's feature set. If you wish to delete your data, you may request deletion through the Support page, subject to applicable law and our data-retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
You can cancel your subscription through the Settings → Billing section of the Trade Journal application. The application provides a cancellation interface that communicates with Whop to disable renewal.
Server-side Whop subscription state remains authoritative for billing where Whop processes the subscription. If you cancel through the application and are still charged at the next renewal, please contact us through the Support page and through Whop's subscription management to ensure the cancellation is reflected.
For subscriptions processed through Whop, cancellation requests made through our application are forwarded to Whop to stop renewal. You may also cancel directly through Whop's subscription management interface. We do not control Whop's entire payment system, and Whop's mandatory consumer-right and dispute processes remain applicable.
When a paid subscription ends, the account falls back to the Free plan. The Free plan includes manual journaling for up to 10 trades per month on 1 account at no cost; paid-only features are no longer available. You can resubscribe to a paid plan at any time.
If you subscribed using a promotional code, cancellation stops renewal at the promotional price. Resubscribing after cancellation may be at the then-current standard list price, not the original promotional price, unless a valid promotion is available.
We may update this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes do not retroactively affect cancellations already processed. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
